Last Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, the Sterling Scholar assembly was held. I must say, it was neat to be in that position--my one little academic triumph. I actually found out that I had received the Sterling Scholar nomination for Jordan High in English the Thursday before. It surprised me out of my mind! I spent that night frantically putting together a PowerPoint for myself for the assembly because the committee wanted it the next day! Zach and Brant came over to help me with ideas. I appreciated them and their intellectual creations, but I ended up going with my own idea. I realize that just about now you're wondering why in the world I got the nomination in English considering the language in this entry is ear-cloggingly dull. Well, all I can say is "I talked the talk" in my interview. :)
Moving on, however, all the nominees have a portfolio to put together now, for submission. Personally, I just hope some sort of scholarship opportunity comes of this. All I want is money for college!!

em, HI im rach and lance's friend, anyways I drove you to logan a while ago to visit rach and I remember you telling me how you wanted to be sterling scholar, anyways congrats on following your dreams!! Good luck with the state competition.
